Delhi Metro corridor to open next week

The Qutub Minar – HUDA city centre Delhi Metro corridor will open next week, with the first train services commencing simultaneously from Qutub Minar and HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon at 8am on Monday.

The trains will run every 12min from 6am to 11pm, with five trains in operation initially.

The ten stations on this 14.47km section are: Qutub Minar, Chhattarpur, Sultanpur, Ghitorni, Arjangarh, Guru Dronacharya, Sikanderpur, MG Road, IFFCO Chowk and HUDA city centre.

Construction delays mean that Chhattarpur station will not open until August, but the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is now constructing the station in record time using pre-fabricated steel structures.

The remaining part of the corridor from Qutub Minar to Central Secretariat is expected to be opened next month.
