Delayed takeover plans

German Contractor Hochtief has delayed plans for a takeover of contractor Ed Z³blin, part of Germany's third biggest contractor the Walter Bau group, which became insolvent at the beginning of February. Hochtief, which already owns nearly half of Z³blin, wants to clarify management options if it buys another nearly 50% holding from the banks.

Austrian firm Strabag, has taken on four of the other companies controlled by Walter Bau.
