ICE news

A dozen parliamentarians including Liberal Democrat transport spokesman Tom Brake MP (left, talking with ICE member Alistair Hitchcock) were at the Institution before Christmas to quiz London region members on transport in the capital.

Presentations on the proposed Crossrail scheme, Section two of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the recently approved Cross River Tram Scheme were followed by a fierce question and answer session. Questions focused on Crossrail, and whether the scheme could be delivered in time for London to host the 2012 Olympics.
