Critical Bradford reservoir scheme to start

Mott MacDonald Bentley is to carry out a safety project at a 145-year-old reservoir in Bradford.

The joint venture will carry out a £1.5M scheme at Stubden reservoir for Yorkshire Water.

The 12-month project will see improvements to the reservoir spillway, which is used to control water flows into the downstream area.

Stubden reservoir is one of the sources for Yorkshire Water’s Chellow Heights water treatment works, which provides clean water to every home in Bradford.

Site set-up and investigations work is due to start this month.
