Credit where due in Hong Kong

Letters

The excellent article on the Tai Po treatment works in Hong Kong (NCE 5 October) was much appreciated. However, it gives the impression that Binnie Black & Veatch in the UK, and myself in particular, was responsible for the project overall. In fact, Binnie Black & Veatch is working on this project for sister firm Binnie Black & Veatch Hong Kong.

There was understandable disappointment in Hong Kong that such a prominent article omitted reference to the main project team and to their project leadership, design innovations and construction supervision.

Michael Hieatt, technical director, Binnie Black & Veatch, Redhill, UK
