Costain shores up over £1.8bn in orders for 2013 and beyond

Contractor Costain said today that its order book has increased to £2.6bn after a number of contract awards including the £400M London Bridge station revamp.

In a trading update the firm said it now has £1.8bn in future orders for 2013 and beyond.

It said the strong order book is a result of its strategy to focus on blue chip customers in chosen sectors whose major spending plans are underpinned by strategic national needs, regulatory commitments or essential maintenance requirements.
