Costain JV wins Irish A8 dualling contract

A Costain, Lagan and Ferrovial Agroman joint venture the contract to dual the A8 from Belfast to Larne.

The £80M Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) project carries more than 17,000 vehicles per day and services the important port of Larne

Client the Roads Service, Northern Division will be supported through the statutory processes, including Public Inquiry, and then designing and constructing the scheme by the Joint Venture.

Andrew Wyllie, Chief Executive of Costain, said: “This ECI contract, for a new blue-chip client with a large portfolio of future schemes, strengthens our position as one of the UK’s leading solution providers in highways and adds to our portfolio of significant highways projects.”
