Costain acquires industrial maintenance Promanex firm for £16.4M

Contractor Costain has bought industrial facilities firm Promanex for £16.4M, it was announced today.

The firm provides facilities management, installation, repair and maintenance and general asset management in specialist markets such as power, petrochemicals and nuclear. 

Costain’s stated strategy is to become an end to end service provider with the ability to design build and maintain infrastructure. For over a year it has been looking for significant acquisitions to help increase its design and maintenance skills.

Based in Warwickshire, Promanex operates across the UK and in Ireland with a workforce of over 800 maintenance employees.
