Corus hike structural sections prices

Corus has announced a price increase for its column and beam sections, including I-beams from April 1, of around £30 per tonne.
Some sizes will increase by more. Category 'C' sizes (610x305mm and above and 356x368mm and above) will increase by £45 per tonne. 254x102mm sections will increase by £40 per tonne. Specification extras on all sections to 'Advance S355' grade will increase by £10 per tonne.Richard White, Corus sales and marketing general manager said, 'The increase reflects strong market conditions, and is fully supported by continuing healthy demand in both the UK and European markets.'Shares in Corus were largely unchanged as a result of the news.
