Contractors sought for £33M Yorkshire road project

A Yorkshire local authority is looking for contractors for a £33M road building project.

Wakefield Council advertised in OJEU for bidders for the 5.5km Wakefield Eastern Relief Road scheme.

The new highway will cross a railway line and the River Calder. Work is due to start in April 2015.

Up to eight contractors will be shortlisted for the scheme.

Those interested have until 6 August to request participation in the procurement process.
