Contractor sought for £21.5M Lancashire road

Wigan Council is on the look-out for a contractor to design and build a major road in the town under a deal worth up to £21.5M.

The Lancashire local authority placed a notice in OJEU calling for expressions of interest in the proposed A49 Goose Green to Westwood Park Link Road.

The 2.3km road, which will be at least partially dual carriageway, will improve access to the town centre and local motorways.

Pre-qualification questionnaires must be completed and returned by midday 24 November.
