Contractor Carillion

Contractor Carillion is preparing to lift into place the bowstring arches of two new multispan bridges north of Dumfries, Scotland, over the next two to three weeks. The £15M project will see construction of a new 210m long, four span viaduct and a single 25m span structure, replacing two historic viaducts at Portrack. The work - for Network Rail - is designed to cut journey times on the West Coast Main Line.
