Contract changes under control

ANGLIAN WATER is to project manage the replacement of Feltwell wastewater treatment works with online contract change management (CCM) software from Needlemans MPS.

CCM is aimed at projects run through the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), and works by tracking and controlling project managers instructions, early warnings and compensation events.

Anglian Water is the latest of a number of firms to pilot the software, since its launch last year (NCE 6 December 2001).

'I believe the CCM application could bring significant improvements to the way we manage our ECC contracts, ' said Anglian Water project assurance manager David Lyon. 'And the benefits of a quality assured process and improved reporting and learning in particular could bring significant cost savings in the medium term.'
