Contract awarded on Marylebone Tube project

Capita has been appointed to upgrade Marylebone Tube station in North-West London.

The firm will develop the designs for the modernisation and improvement of the London Underground station.

The deal was awarded through the LUL principal design delivery partner framework and forms part of a £330M station stabilisation programme over the next 10 years.

Capita technology director Simon Reeves said: “We have just commenced design mobilisation for Marylebone and, under this initial £204,000 project, will take the design to RIBA Stage F1, production information.

“Framework trade contractors will then be appointed to undertake the work, and we expect to have a continuing role, for an additional fee, to support the design delivery phase right up to handover to LUL.”
