Consultant Clarke Bond Group rescued from administration

Consultant Clarke Bond has shed around 100 staff after going into administration.

The firm has since been bought by R1 CB, understood to be a purchasing vehicle set up by the parent company of Empire Cinemas.

The firm has closed four UK offices in Sale, Harrogate, Birmingham and Swansea. But it kept offices in London, Bristol, Exeter and Abu Dhabi and 71 staff have held on to their jobs.

In this NCE Consultants File 2011, Clarke Bond Group was listed as having 168 staff. The firm earned fees of £10.1M, and ranked 62nd in terms of fee income.

Clarke Bond Group UK operations director Andrew Whitehead told NCE that all projects the group’s remaining offices are currently working on would continue under the name Clarke Bond UK. The company was in discussions with clients to negotiate how to continue working, said Whitehead.
