Consultant Aecom has announced that it will expand its water business in Romania following a succession of multi-million Euro contract wins across five Romanian counties.

The contracts mainly deal with European Union legislation compliance and standards.

Aecom has won two separate contracts from Aquabis and Apa – Canal Sibiu to provide project management, tender documentation preparation, design and technical assistance during the execution of works, technical assistance during the bidding stage, development of a hydraulic modelling system, masterplan updates, development of a GIS asset database and stakeholder management and publicity, across three Romanian counties.

A third contract win has been awarded by Compania Aquaserv to an Aecom-led joint venture formed with Safege Nanterre France and Tractebel Engineering. The scope of work mainly comprises supervision of 16 working contracts for drinking and wastewater systems in two further counties.
