Construction of Europe's tallest building underway in Moscow

Work on Europe's tallest building has officially started in Moscow.
The 612m-high Russia Tower will use a pyramidal form to achieve the maximum stability with the minimum structure. A series of sloped fan columns will extend diagonally upwards and cross to form the oblique lattice to carry vertical loads and resist lateral loads. Waterman International is the lead structural engineering consultant on the £830M scheme.
