Conference update

DIARY

E-UNSAT 2008. The first European Conference on Unsaturated Soils will be held on 2-4 July, 2008 in Durham. Conference is organised under the auspices of Technical Committee TC6 of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. The broad theme of the conference is the engineering behaviour of unsaturated soils covering a range of soil categories that includes expansive soils, collapsible soils, natural soils, compacted soils, residual soils, arid soils, pyroclastic soils, rockll materials and fractured rocks. Papers are solicited in several themes including advances in testing techniques, engineering behaviour, numerical and constitutive modelling, and case studies. Abstracts not exceeding 300 words should be submitted via the online submission facility on the conference website www. e-unsat. dur. ac. uk by 28 February.
