Compromise would help CEng failures

Letters

The IEng and CEng exams are now extremely similar both in qualifying criteria and the exam questions. Can the ICE not provide a mechanism whereby those who fail the MPR, but are deemed to have achieved a sufficient level, are offered an IEng?

The CEng process is now so long winded that huge disappointment and absolutely nothing to show for your efforts is normally the end result. I am sure this change would inspire more people to take the exam.
