Collapsed concrete arch segments removed

The 30 concrete arch segments and 10,000t of fill that collapsed on to the London-Birmingham rail line at Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, a fortnight ago have now been removed.

Findings of an intrusive survey were due to be presented to Network Rail, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and client Tesco as NCE went to press. The HSE said it will be at least six weeks before the line reopens.
