CMT testing business acquired by Kiwa

Construction materials and geotechnical testing business CMT Testing has announced that it has been acquired by Netherlands-based Kiwa.

Under the deal, the company will now be known as Kiwa CMT Testing but the company will continue to carry out site investigation and geotechnical testing, as well as it construction materials testing operations.

Although based in the Netherlands, Kiwa – which also specialises in material testing services -operates from 30 locations around the world and employs 1300 staff.

Kiwa chief executive Paul Hesselink said: “The partnership with CMT will enable us to expand our range of services. Kiwa is already an important international player in this field and the acquisition of CMT brings new opportunities to strengthen our position and our strategy for this market.”
