CIVILS SIZZLE: If you are reading this on Thursday morning there is still time to get to Civils 98 and its sister show Pipelines 98 which kicked off this week at Birmingham's NEC. Thousands of visitors packed into the UK's first ever civil engineering exhibition soon after halls opened on Tuesday morning with aisles thronging with visitors and exhibitors stands buzzing with activity. Exhibitors said they were pleased with the response to the show. 'Very professional, brings a lot of people together to do business and there is a good mix of people,' was the view from one exhibitor. Visitors were impressed by the size and scope of the exhibition and most said the show lived up to all expectations.
