This year's civil engineering exhibition, organised by GE's sister magazine New Civil Engineer, will again have a strong geotechnical element, with over 50 companies already registered for the Geotechnical Trail, which aims to help visitors identify geotechnical exhibitors.

Firms are suppliers and contractors and consultants with geotechnical capabilities (see list below).

Exhibitors also include clients of geotechnical work such as the Highways Agency, the Environment Agency, Network Rail, Tubelines, Metronet and Crossrail, as well as major contractors and consultants.

Each day of Civils 2006 will have a theme, discussed in a series of events including paid-for conferences, breakfast briengs, lunches and drinks receptions.

Tuesday 28 November will focusing on regeneration, Wednesday 28 November on transport and infrastructure and Thursday 30 November on Environment.

Free to attend technical seminars will also be held in purpose-built theatres on the exhibition oor.

These have become established as one of the focal points of Civils and proved extremely popular with the geotechnical industry at previous events. This year is no exception, with companies such as Roger Bullivant, Lankelma, Ritchies, Screwfast Foundations and Naue Geosynthetics making presentations.

GE will be running a full preview of Civils 2006 in the November issue and the editorial team will be on hand at the show - the magazine will be sharing the NCE stand on the gallery level.
