Civil exchange in NCE Olympic village challenge

ICE news

Visiting Civils- Then don't forget the NCE Communications Competition taking place at 5pm in the Pillar Hall on Wednesday 23 November.

Imagine: TV soap EastEnders' Pauline Fowler and Dot Cotton are up in arms over plans for a new sporting arena and Olympic village to be built near Albert Square. Pauline says to Dot: 'If they think they can just waltz in 'ere and build a fancy new stadium on our doorstep, they've got another fi ng comin' - my Arfur would never 'av 'ad this.' Next week, a team of engineers from Arup and another from Northern Ireland Roads Service and Parsons Brinckerhoff will be trying to convince the likes of Pauline and Dot that the village should be built. The two teams will put forward their grand plans for redeveloping 'Poor Arfur's' allotment into a world class conference centre. Be part of the NCE Communications Competition audience at Civils to find out how they do.
