Chance meeting

As one is never presented with a second chance to make a first impression, and people instinctively judge others on that all-important first meeting, I have found it pays to dress appropriately for the occasion.

Therein of course lies the dilemma of what constitutes appropriate dress. Yet I wonder how many engineers have actually had their colours done or sought advice on personal image.

I did in 1995 and have since successfully persuaded many others, men and women, to do likewise. I can attest to the great value knowing one's own colours when buying clothes and shoes, particularly if one actually puts it into practice.
