Chalk anchor paper wins ICE prize


A paper which provided illustrations of the fissure penetration of cement grout and grout cavity expansion won the ICE Award Coopers Hill War Memorial Prize at the end of last year.

Authors of the paper, 'Chalk anchorages; exhumation, load transfer mechanism and design Guidelines'were Tony Barley (Single Bore Multiple Anchor), Devon Mothersille and Rohan Weerasinghe (Geoserve Global).
