Cementation sees signs of steady recovery

Cementation Skanska managing director Martin Pedley believes that the geotechnics market is showing signs of a steady recovery but does not believe the sector is about to suddenly boom.

“Crossrail has given us a steady workload over the recession but we feel that the market is now stable,” he said during a reception last night.

“The recovery started in London but we are now starting to see more projects coming through in the regions in both infrastructure and building sectors. The most active markets outside of London are now Scotland and the north west.”
