Celebrations in Redding, California have marked the opening of the Sundial Bridge, designed by Spanish engineer/architect Santiago Calatrava. The $23M cablestayed bridge's inclined 66m pylon acts as a sundial that can be read at the north end of the structure. A structural glass deck spans the Sacramento River, linking the north and south parts of Turtle Bay Exploration Park.
