Careers clinic

Your career

We want your problems

Next week sees the launch of our monthly Careers Clinic, where you will be able to pass on the benefit of your experience to other readers and, together with advice from experts, provide real solutions to real problems.

First off, we address the issue of negotiating a pay rise. To make the Careers Clinic work, we need your help (don't worry, you will not have to give your name and we will hide specific details to ensure your anonymity). All we want to know - before next week - are the work-related problems affecting you and how you managed, or failed, to secure a salary increase.

E-mail your problems and solutions in no more than 150 words to Fiona McWilliam (fiona@gn.apc.org) or send them to Careers Clinic, New Civil Engineer, 151 Rosebery Avenue, London EC1R 4GB, fax: (020) 7505 6667.
