Care challenge breaks new records

This year’s CARE Construction challenge is set to be the biggest yet, with 33 teams from across the construction industry already signed up. Event organisers are now hoping to hit 50 teams, which would bring in around £100,000 for CARE’s vital work in supporting disaster-hit communities around the world.

Teams from Bam Nuttall, Mott MacDonald, Amey, Costain, Fairhurst and Taylor Woodrow will take on NCE and the hills of Exmoor National Park on 6 July in an attempt to strip reigning champion Ramboll of its 2012 title. Teams will tackle a marathon on foot, bike and kayak. The 16km run, 24km bike ride and 2km kayak relay will be followed by a well-earned evening of barbecue and beers.
