Card Geotechnics win regeneration contract next to Olympic Park

Card Geotechnics will provide geo-environmental consultancy services to developer Telford Homes on the development of a commercial and residential scheme overlooking the future Olympic Park.
The site in Warton Road, Stratford, East London, was occupied by a nylon factory in the 1960s and was later used for warehouses and offices. The 'Icona' development will be 18 storeys at its tallest, with basement parking, and incorporate 249 apartments plus commercial spaceCard first started work on the project in 2002 when it carried out the site assessment report including a desk study and preliminary intrusive site investigation. This was followed up with a detailed geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation comprising trial pits, hand dug inspection pits and boreholes, together with a pre-demolition asbestos survey.
