Consultant Capita Symonds has announced the acquisition of Active Traffic Management specialists MMB Associates for an undisclosed sum.
MMB employs 60 in Corsham and Reigate, and has develops ‘Intelligent Transport Systems’ (ITS) on the UK motorway and trunk road network. The addition will bring Capita’s ITS division to 160.
Capita Symonds’ executive director for infrastructure, John Southgate said MMB has: “Proven expertise and track record has influenced many of today’s ITS solutions and this acquisition further strengthens our position as a leading transport technology consultancy.”

- Southwick Tunnel technology upgrade
- Highways Agency’s Technology Design Framework;
- Network Operations Audit of Contract Compliance (NOACC) contract for the Highways Agency;
- Facilitator and secretariat for the Detector Technology Steering Group
