Mouchel lands £4.5M highways extension

Mouchel has secured a fifth contract extension of its highways and transportation consultancy services role with Lincolnshire County Council.

The latest contract – worth £4.5M – takes the contract to March 2020. The firm began its role with the coucil in April 2010 and in that time has worked alongside delivery partners Kier and Dynniq to help it secure more than £70M in external funding.

The council was one of the first two authorities in England to achieve top “Band 3” status under the Department for Transport’s (DfT) self-assessment process, making it eligible to receive its full share of the sovernment’s Local Highways Maintenance Incentive Fund.

Mouchel, acquired by global consulting giant WSP last October, will adopt its parent company’s name this month.
