The procurement process has started for two Yorkshire-based engineering consultancy frameworks worth a total of £119.5M.
The Yorconsult2 frameworks, which are divided into south and west Yorkshire and north and east Yorkshire, have been set up to serve public sector bodies and third sector organisations in the region.
Both frameworks include a civil engineering services lot worth £25M for services including highways works, pedestrianisation, traffic safety works, bridge works, flood prevention works and sewerage and drainage works.
The South Yorkshire framework, which is worth a total of £79M over four years, includes a £30M lot for multi-disciplinary building services, while the North East framework, which is worth £40.5M over the same time frame, includes a £2M lot for coastal services.
Other lots include architectural services, structural engineering and environmental services. Between eight and ten consultants will be appointed to each of the lots.
Sheffield City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be accepting tenders via the YORtender website until midday on 12 April.
