Buro Happold to improve Rwanda roads

Buro Happold has been appointed by the Rwandan Government to improve road navigation and safety

Buro Happold will be using a Global Positioning System (GPS) approach to audit Rwanda’s 2,000 kilometre road network and deliver a strategy by mid-2009 for new signage as part of the country’s National Road Safety programme.

Group Director at Buro Happold Andy Murdoch said: "This first appointment in Rwanda is testament to our commitment to overseas development, which we actively support through the Happold Trust and as a member of the Consortium for the Eradication of Poverty. We look forward to supporting Rwanda in the development of its critical infrastructure."
