Bureau Veritas joins ACE

Consultant Bureau Veritas was confirmed on Friday as the latest large firm to join the Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE).
ACE chief executive Nelson Ogunshakin said: '[Bureau Veritas] joining is a further sign of the success of ACE's widened remit to represent all firms offering consultancy and engineering services in the built and natural environment. Their range of specialist services delivered to multinational corporations, bankers, insurers, industrialists and oil and gas clients demonstrates ACE's commitment to broaden its representation and be the true voice for the professional consultancy sector.' Bureau Veritas has 35 offices and laboratories in the UK and Ireland employing 1,500 staff. UK turnover is in excess of £90M. Worldwide, the company employs over 26,000 staff in 700 offices in more than 150 countries.Bureau Veritas managing director Pat Lawless said: 'Bureau Veritas looks forward to bringing a fresh view and different perspectives to ACE and we see real value in playing an active role in the organisation. We know that our wider objectives are very much in line with ACE's who we regard as a forward-looking association with an excellent reputation for engaging stakeholders.'
