Building technique pioneered in China could prove to be most economic way of making skyscrapers safer

ICE news :

A building technique said to be pioneered in China could prove to be the most economic way of making skyscrapers safer. According to the latest issue (vol. 146 no.4) of the ICE journal Structures and Buildings, tall buildings made from concrete-filled steel-tube (CFST) columns are much stronger and have better fire and earthquake resistance than comparable structures using steel or concrete columns.
