Buenos Aires given a $130M loan for flood protection

Argentinean Capital Buenos Aires has been given a $130M loan for flood protection by the World Bank. First phase spending will improve drainage to reduce the risk of fatal flash flooding. A six year long risk management programme will also be implemented.

Key works include two collector tunnels of 9.9km and 4.7km and improvement of 46km of pipes.
