Budget regard

Letters

Congratulations to Andrew McNaughton for winning the Civil Engineering Manager of the Year Award. However, it may be unfair to compare him with Brunel; not only did contract 440 come in on time but within budget, not among Brunel's greatest talents.

Yet is it not depressing that having made a 'pig's ear' of his A levels he should jump at the chance of a university place to do civil engineering?
