Major building project of the year (over £50M): sponsored by Arup

Arup is an independent global firm offering a broad range of professional services.

Our designers, planners, engineers, managers, consultants and technical specialists believe in creating value for our clients and making a positive difference in the world.

We design with the future in mind and have a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable designs that respond positively to the built environment.

A commitment to the environment and to the communities in which we work
has always been at the heart of our ethos. We are acutely aware that design has a huge influence on the world around us, and that this carries with it a responsibility to do the best possible job for current and future generations. This results in projects that not only work for clients, but are successful for the people who use them, live in them or work in and around them.

For the 2014 BCI Awards, Arup is proud to sponsor the Major Building Project - over £50M category.

Projects of this magnitude - whether education centres, medical facilities, arts and culture institutes, transport hubs or sport venues - inevitably have an impact beyond the building itself, and help to support communities and create new spaces, and we support the BCI Awards in celebrating some of the best.

Heath and safety award: Sponsored by RMD Kwikform

The shortlist for the Health & Safety Award will be announced at the awards ceremony.

At RMD Kwikform we are passionate about construction, the people involved in construction and the impact construction makes on wider society. It is an easy step for us to support the British Construction Industry Awards, and to sponsor the Health & Safety category in particular.

We have much to celebrate in the construction industry in the UK. The continued determination to improve the health and safety of our workers and all our stakeholders is something we believe in and support wholeheartedly.

RMD Kwikform operates across the world; supplying temporary works solutions to assist in the construction of projects both big and small.

A commitment to health and safety is a common value that binds our operations wherever in the world you might encounter them. The BCIA dinner is the ideal opportunity for us to very visibly demonstrate that commitment though the sponsorship of the Health and Safety award.

Having been highly commended at last year’s awards for our Safety Screen product Ascent-S, we recognise the work that goes into entering a category award and the high quality of the competition. We therefore wish all entrants good luck and we are looking forward to announcement of the winners in October.
