Bovis Lend Lease names new chief

BOVIS LEND Lease has reshuffled its senior management as part of a plan to develop its build, finance and operate businesses in America and Europe.

The result sees Luther Cochrane switch roles from chief executive to chairman.

Sir Frank Lampl becomes president, giving up the chairman's role. Australian civil engineer Ross Taylor takes over as chief executive.

Taylor was previously president of Bovis Lend Lease and helped develop the firm's management structure following last year's merger between Bovis and Lend Lease.

Build finance and operate work has grown following the success of the private finance initiative in Britain. As a result Cochrane and Lampl will develop selective tendering policies for this work in America and Europe respectively, under the banner of Integrated Real Estate. They will also use their top level contacts with clients to obtain traditional fee management and lump sum work.
