Bournemouth Borough Council considering proposals

Bournemouth Borough Council was considering proposals for a partial reopening of the carpark at the troubled £200M Castlepoint shopping centre as NCE went to press. Main design and build contractor Kier could carry out urgent temporary propping operations which would allow around 1,000 spaces in the carpark to reopen on Thursday if the council approves. But the council said on Tuesday that it had not yet been given enough information on the long term safety problems on the precast concrete structure.
