Intermat Preview

A new generation of pivot-steer tandem compactors, the BW 170AD and the BW 174 AD, will feature on the Bomag stand. Operational weight is in the range 8,400kg to 9,000kg, with a standard working width of 1,680mm. A package of five pre-selectable types of steering and speed control is fitted as standard.

The BW 211 D-3, a new roller in the 11t class offers new efficiency in soil compaction, says Bomag. This model has smooth drums and for cohesive soils the BW 211 PDC-3 with a padfoot drum is available. Both models offer vibration with two amplitudes and two frequencies as standard.

Also on show at Intermat, and with new introductions, will be Bomag's ranges of tampers and plate vibrators, plus the BMP 851 multi-purpose compactor. This can be used for trench compaction, for backfilling foundations and in duct, pipeline or trench excavations.
