Comment on: Why don't more British contractors work abroad?
Maybe we're not competitive any more, and it's not new. Several decades ago I remember UK firms quoting a 6 month delivery for a water reticulation project in Oman. The Koreans (KCIP) had the materials on the boat in a fortnight, together with a pipe laying team. and they were cheaper! Bill Addington is right. We can only win work when supported by a finance package.
Comment on: Crossrail spreads BIM technology to suppliers
Good to see a major organising taking on board a holistic approach to BIM. We've been pussy footing around with bits of BIM for years but never seem to have been able get it consolidated. Too much of the VHS/ Betamax attitude!
