BGA Fleming Award

The teams that built the Moorhouse draught relief shaft for Crossrail in London and Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin came out as joint winners of this year's BGA Fleming Award at the final last month.

Judges could not split the two teams on the night - Arup Geotechnics, Geotechnical Consulting Group, Skanska UK Building, WJ Groundwater, Crossrail London Links, Arup Tunnelling and Skanska UK Tunnelling for Moorhouse, and Bachy Soletanche, Mouchel Parkman, the Environmental Protection Agency, Dublin Docklands Development Authority and Pierse Contracting from Sir John Rogerson's Quay.

They share the winner's cheque for £3,000 from award sponsor Cementation Foundations Skanska.
