BCIA's UK-wide judging is underway

The BCIA judges have started their intensive programme of visits to the 37 shortlisted projects to assess the winners of this year’s British Construction Industry Awards and the Prime Ministers Better Public Building Award.

Last week, Arup Chairman Philip Dilley, Sir Jeremy Dixon of Dixon Jones, AKT’s Hanif Kara and NCE Editor Antony Oliver travelled to the West Country to see the environmental prototype Balehaus at Bath University, for which straw is used as the insulation material; CircleBath, a new and highly innovative approach to health care; and the first phase of engineering work to safeguard Bristol’s historic floating dock.
