BCIA judges move into final phase

THE BRITISH Construction Industry Awards judges have shortlisted 41 projects from the 182 entries to the competition. Seeking out the winners now begins in earnest with the first site visits and interviews of project teams this week.

The process will continue throughout July and August. On site the judging team will also whittle down the 33 UK based projects to find the winner of the new Best Practice Award, which is sponsored by the Construction Best Practice Programme.

The BCI Awards 1999 are promoted by the Daily Telegraph, New Civil Engineer and The Architects' Journal, and supported by 130 organisations across the industry. The winners will be announced at the London Hilton on 20 October.
