BBA not UK agent of EOTA

Your article on European Technical Approvals (NCE 31 January) made a good stab at explaining a complex issue.

However, it should be noted that BBA is not the UK 'agent' of EOTA as stated.

There are in fact five UK bodies which are members of EOTA - the others being BM TRADA Certification, BRE Certification, UK CARES and Warrington Certification - which can issue ETAs. Details can be found on the DTLR website:
