Bauer reports positive first quarter results

Start of work on major international projects and growth in demand for ground engineering equipment have helped drive improvements in Bauer’s business in the first three months of this year.

Bauer has reported that revenues are up 14.3% to €378M (£308M) in the first quarter of 2014, compared with the same period last year.

The company reported a loss of €7.4M (£6M) for the period but has said that this is in line with seasonal norms for the sector and was lower than reported in the same period last year. The company has also reaffirmed its full year forecast for 2014 with turnover expected to reach €1.55bn (£1.26bn) and profit (after tax) of €20M to €25M (£16.3M to £20.4M).
