Bauer adds to the mix

Bauer has launched two new products to improve mixing and separation operations on diaphragm wall construction projects.

The GS500-V adjustable coarse screen can be adjusted to different requirements on site or to changing soil conditions. As a result, the best possible solid particle discharge can now be achieved.

The screen allows a larger proportion of solids to be separated out from the slurry by reducing the screen inclination and the use of fine-meshed screen linings. During site trials discharge rates were increased by up to 20%. According to Bauer, this leads to reduced wear of the downstream installations, pumps, delivery lines and cyclones.

The company has also added the BP150-D diesel-operated selfpriming centrifugal pump. The pump has been developed for diaphragm wall construction sites where it can be used during concreting to pump slurry from the top of the trench to storage ponds further away.
